KashmirA valley journey shaped by your season.

A thoughtful introduction to a striking high-altitude region.
A seven-day circuit with three nights in Leh before crossing to Nubra Valley, followed by Pangong Tso and a final night back in Leh. The first two days remain gentle, with no high-pass excursions. The outline allows more than 48 hours before travel to higher areas; suitability, permits and road access are checked individually. Extra acclimatisation nights or a lower-altitude alternative may be needed.
This is a proposed itinerary, not a guaranteed departure or availability statement. The final route, travel connections and services will be confirmed in your written proposal.
Leh old town, Leh Palace and a gentle start
Khardung La, Diskit Monastery and Hunder dunes
Pangong Tso with a final night back in Leh before departure
Meet your local driver at Leh airport and transfer directly to your hotel. Keep the day for rest and adjusting to the altitude, with no sightseeing drive or high-pass excursion scheduled. Discuss your wellbeing with the local team and follow individual medical advice. Your room, meals and transfer arrangements will be specified in the proposal.
Suggested overnight: LehRemain in Leh and keep the programme short and flexible. If comfortable, take a gentle visit to Leh Main Bazaar and the old-town area; otherwise continue resting. Avoid packing the day with climbs, monastery stairways or long drives. Khardung La and Pangong are not visited today. The official minimum of 48 hours in Leh before higher-area travel is built into the plan, but it does not guarantee that every traveller will be ready.
Suggested overnight: LehAfter the initial acclimatisation period, plan a measured excursion to Thiksey Monastery and the Shey Palace area if you feel well and local advice supports it. Return to Leh for a rest. Leh Palace or Shanti Stupa can be considered later as an alternative visit, with vehicle access and steps discussed beforehand. Select the visits around your comfort rather than treating every landmark as compulsory.
Suggested overnight: LehLeave for Nubra Valley only after the full acclimatisation period and a check of your condition, permits and road access. Allow approximately 5–7 hours including limited stops, with delays possible. Cross Khardung La without a prolonged stay at the pass, then continue to Diskit Monastery and the Hunder dunes if arrival time allows. Check in to your Nubra accommodation. Any camel ride is optional and separately confirmed.
Suggested overnight: Nubra ValleyTravel towards Pangong Tso via the Shyok route only if the road is open and locally cleared, allowing approximately 6–8 hours with breaks. Spend a relaxed period at the accessible lakeshore before checking in to your booked accommodation. This is a high-altitude overnight and is not suitable for every traveller; suitability must be discussed before booking. If health or road conditions require, change the programme rather than force the crossing.
Suggested overnight: Pangong areaAfter breakfast, return to Leh via the permitted, open route, normally across Chang La. Allow approximately 6–8 hours and keep the focus on the transfer. Take short scenic stops where appropriate, then rest at your Leh hotel. Additional monastery sightseeing is not promised on this travel day. The final night in Leh provides separation between the remote circuit and your departure flight.
Suggested overnight: LehTransfer to Leh airport for your confirmed flight. No distant sightseeing is scheduled before departure. Mountain weather can affect flights and roads, so avoid a tight, separately ticketed onward connection; discuss a buffer night in your next city when planning. An extra night may also be needed if the route changes.
