Discover the Viceregal Lodge area, Mall Road, the Ridge and Christ Church, with a dedicated Kufri–Fagu excursion. Your suggested itinerary

Day 01

Arrive in Delhi — welcome and time to rest

Meet your driver at Delhi airport and transfer to your hotel. Keep the day flexible after your journey, with time to rest. For an early arrival, a short New Delhi orientation may include an India Gate drive-past and the surrounding government district, subject to local traffic and security arrangements. A full sightseeing day begins tomorrow; no major monument visits are assumed after a late flight.

Suggested overnight: Delhi
Day 02

Old and New Delhi — Chandni Chowk and Mughal heritage

Begin in Old Delhi with Jama Masjid and the Chandni Chowk area, allowing time for a guided walk or an optional cycle-rickshaw ride. Continue to Raj Ghat if it suits the route, then take a lunch break. In the afternoon, visit Humayun’s Tomb and finish with an India Gate drive-past if not covered on arrival. Qutub Minar can replace an afternoon visit according to your interests, rather than adding another cross-city journey. Access, prayer times and opening schedules will shape the final order.

Suggested overnight: Delhi
Day 03

Delhi to Agra — Agra Fort and optional riverside views

Travel by private vehicle to Agra, allowing approximately 4–5 hours including normal breaks, with traffic delays possible. Check in or leave your luggage at the hotel, then explore Agra Fort with your guide. If time and energy allow, choose an optional Mehtab Bagh visit for views towards the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna. Keep the evening relaxed before tomorrow’s early start. Hotel check-in time and monument tickets are confirmed in your quotation.

Suggested overnight: Agra
Day 04

Taj Mahal at sunrise — Fatehpur Sikri — Jaipur

Visit the Taj Mahal around sunrise, subject to opening conditions, weather and your agreed schedule. Return for breakfast and check out, then continue to Jaipur with a visit to Fatehpur Sikri en route if included in your proposal. Allow approximately 5–6 hours of road travel plus 1–2 hours for the sightseeing stop and meal breaks; this is a full travel day. Reach Jaipur and settle into your hotel. The Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors on Fridays, so your advisor will adjust the Agra visit or route before confirmation.

Suggested overnight: Jaipur
Day 05

Jaipur — Amber Fort, City Palace and Jantar Mantar

Start with Amber Fort, allowing time to appreciate its courtyards and architectural details. Stop for an exterior view of Jal Mahal on the return towards the city, then take a lunch break. Visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, with a Hawa Mahal façade photo stop planned along the route. The order is adjusted around traffic, opening hours and your pace. If you prefer longer visits or market time, replace one afternoon attraction rather than trying to add everything. Craft demonstrations and shopping stops are optional.

Suggested overnight: Jaipur
Day 06

Jaipur to Delhi — return to the plains

After breakfast, drive from Jaipur to Delhi, allowing approximately 5–6 hours plus breaks and possible traffic delays. Check in to your Delhi hotel and relax. If you arrive early and would like another visit, discuss Gurudwara Bangla Sahib or a short Connaught Place walk as an option. No extra cross-city sightseeing is assumed. This overnight breaks the journey between Rajasthan and the hills; Jaipur to Shimla is not attempted in one day.

Suggested overnight: Delhi
Day 07

Delhi to Shimla — a dedicated travel day

Leave Delhi after breakfast for the road journey to Shimla via the Chandigarh–Solan corridor. Allow approximately 8–10 hours including regular breaks, with longer journeys possible during holiday traffic, snow or road disruption. Arrive at your Shimla hotel and rest. No major sightseeing is scheduled on arrival. As an alternative, a confirmed Delhi–Kalka train followed by a road transfer can be quoted; a toy-train connection is not assumed or promised within the road itinerary.

Suggested overnight: Shimla
Day 08

Shimla heritage — Viceregal Lodge, the Ridge and Christ Church

Begin with a visit to the Viceregal Lodge area on Observatory Hill, subject to the day’s public access and available visiting slots; interior entry is not guaranteed. Return towards central Shimla for lunch, then enjoy a paced walk along Mall Road and the Ridge, including Christ Church and the exterior of Gaiety Theatre. The historic centre has slopes and pedestrian sections, so the route will be adapted around your mobility and hotel location. A guided interior theatre visit can be requested only if available.

Suggested overnight: Shimla
Day 09

Kufri and Fagu excursion — relaxed hill-country time

Make a morning excursion to Kufri, continuing towards Fagu if weather, roads and traffic allow. Enjoy accessible viewpoints and a relaxed lunch stop rather than a fixed list of snow or adventure activities. Return to Shimla with time at leisure. Jakhoo Temple may replace part of the excursion if it better suits your interests and access needs; it is not automatically added to a full outing. Snow, pony rides and adventure activities are seasonal or independently operated and are included only if specifically quoted.

Suggested overnight: Shimla
Day 10

Shimla to Delhi — road transfer and onward arrangements

Depart early for Delhi, allowing approximately 8–10 hours with breaks and a substantial buffer for road and city traffic. This final day is reserved for travel; no Chandigarh sightseeing or Delhi monument visits are scheduled. The proposed tour ends in Delhi after the road transfer. An additional Delhi hotel night is recommended before an international departure, particularly for an early flight; any same-day onward flight must be assessed against its actual reporting time and the risk of road delays. Alternatively, ask about finishing at Chandigarh airport when a suitable flight is available.
